Mayan Temple of Chichén Itzá (México)

The ruins of Chichén Itzá, an important Mayan center from about 600-1100 A.D., are in the arid land of the Yucatan Peninsula of México. el Castillo (The Castle) is a step-pyramid topped by a temple to the Mayan god Kukulcan. It is 91 feet high (30 meters) with 90 steps on each side, plus the top platform - totaling 365 steps, one for each day of the year.
