Tenses and Exercises

In my first ESL classes, We had been practicing three tense specially on perfect tense.

Although we have written few sentences in all tenses in class, I need to write more examples to practice.

*SIMPLE PRESENT

We play cards with my kids.

They break the laws with their acts.

The bird flies among trees.

You love read newspaper.

I learn a new word today.

She washes the dishes with soap.

*PRESENT CONTINUOUS

I am calling because I need information about the concert.

They are shopping a new computer for their kids.

The player is playing soccer very well.

We are singing a song of John Lennon "Imagine"

You are typing the letter very fast.

*PRESENT PERFECT

My dog has dug a big hole in my garden.

The butcher has cut the beef thinner.

They have drunk to much wine in the party.

We have waited for five hours outside.

*PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS

I have been working since morning.

The cat has been sleeping all day.

My teacher has been teaching us for one week.

You have been studying English with me since 2012.

They have been training basketball for two years.

We have been working hard for many years.

*SIMPLE PAST

They woke up late.

You made dinner early.

The cat slept two hours.

We flew to New Mexico.

I ate a green salad.

*PAST CONTINUES

I was writing my curriculum last night.

They were watching a horror movie in class.

You were hiding your feelings.

Celine was reading news in her laptop.

*PAST PERFECT.  

I had kept notes hide.

They had had a bad day.

Nicolas Cage had made many movies.

My cat had stolen my cookie.

We had gone a good opportunity.

*PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS

Famous Newspaper has been publishing fake new for a long time.

Usain Bolt  has been training hard to be number one.

The book had been boring since the beginning.

We had been looking for a new house since 2018.

They had been caring their kids with responsibility.

*SIMPLE FUTURE

We will walk in the park.

They will buy a lottery ticket.

My daughter will be on vacation.

We will teach Spanish to my daughters.

I will speak English fluently soon.

*SIMPLE FUTURE CONTINUES

I am going to go to English class tomorrow.

You are going to the doctor with your sister tomorrow at 9:30 am.

My husband is going to read a new art book.

We are going to go to Kenosha in summer.

The cops are going to catch the thieves soon.

*FUTURE PERFECT

I will have finish my English homework.

They will have take notes in the interview.

The doctor will have check the sight of my daughters.

We will have paint a new canvas together.

*FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS

The actress will have been acting with other actors in live.

Daniela's teacher will have been giving the best student award.

Frida's sister will have been buying a  present for her.

I will have been writing with my daughter a fiction book.
