My Job Experiencie

 

 Hello everyone!

Today I want to share my experience in my new job, soon I will have a year of work in this job, first I had an illusion to work because I wanted to buy a washing machine and others stuff that I needed, but with days and months that I've worked I felt so tired, sometimes I think that if you work and you feel so sad and tired that work is not a good job, when I see my check, I think that I waste my time for that money.

I have learned many things in my job, for example:

• I learned how to work with my left hand when I am right handed

• I got the ability to work faster

• I got to know new people

• I have the opportunity to think more

• I’ve practiced my English

• I have the opportunity to listen podcast in English

• I have learned more about the program that they use to delivery packages.

• I’ve learned how is the process of the delivery of packages in the company, just the simple process.

The things that I dislike about the job are:

• The schedule is variable everyday because you don’t have the same hour to start and finish the work.

• The pay per hour is cheap considering the kind of work. (this point is so important)

• You don’t have the opportunity to have better job position

• You cannot change the shift because there is just one, “overnight shift”

• You don’t have good benefits as a worker.

• They don’t pay on holidays.

• They don’t pay overtime

• It’s just consider “part-time”

This company has more than 50 years and never had shut down, Although with covid19 this company doesn’t close its doors. And many people work some days or years and quit work and they can come later, but they choose the position. But you don’t have much to choose from, all the positions you have on that shift are physically exhausting, it’s just loading boxes or scanning packages quickly.

Many people has worked in this company but just some have work for years, and others like me work for limited time, because the work is very physically exhausting.

Maybe is because I have a bachelor degree and I don’t want to work in this kind of job for many years because its not physically good for me.

In this time I have much time to think about what I want it, I’m a mother and I have a family to care, I had have the opportunity to learn many things in my maternity. I wish in the not so far future the work of a mother or housewife will be recognized.

My experience in this job is unique, time ago started loading boxes and this occasion have “the opportunity to scan packages” both positions are exhausting the first one was a terrible experience because I couldn’t carry the boxes for long, and now the job I am in, which is scanning boxes, is just as exhausting from standing for so many hours in the same place.

Perhaps many people believe that I don’t like to work and they are right according to their perspective, but in my perspective I am a hard-working person looking for a decent an well-paid job.

Because after all each person has a dream and we are in this life to fulfill it.
